About Me

Fishing the tide in, chasing sea run cut throat trout (Oncorhynchus clarkii).

Welcome!

My name is Henry Masters. Thank you for visiting my website, I really appreciate your time and interest.

My Story

I was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. Just like all Alaskan's, I love the outdoors and it has greatly influenced my life. I loved experiencing remote regions of Southeast Alaska growing up and it has inspired me to share my experiences with everyone! My passion is photographing what Alaska has to offer, from its people and places to its wildlife and scenery.

I grew up shooting a lot of archery and even took first place state for my age group! After healing from a broken wrist, I bagged my first blackbear (Ursus americanus) (6'). Since then, I've shot more with my camera and less with a bow.

Fly Fishing on the Situk in Yakutat, Alaska. Here's a lovely fall run Steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss) who took my copper john!

I'm a huge fly fishing enthusiast. As well, In my spare time I pursue nature photography and love to share the beautiful scenery and wildlife that Alaska has to offer.

I graduated in the Spring of 2016 with my degree (B.S. in Biology & Minor in Math.)
